This is a fantastic topic for an action research project as we all find out by the time middle school comes involvement decreases and even more if not to none by the time high school comes around. Are you going to following through with this project to see the outcome? I am curious to know what kinds of things work when it comes to parental involvement at the high school level especially being I will be a new parent to the high school scene next month :) Good luck!
Monica, I like the organization of your action research plan. I agree that more parental involvement is needed in our schools. My only suggestion is to include a measure for evaluating the effectiveness of the parental events in improving student achievement. Great Job!
